5TH WORKSHOP ON VIOLENCE AND RELIGION
Imitation and Education. Towards a Positive Mimesis

November 19th, 2020 – University Francisco de Vitoria (Madrid, Spain)

Leaning on the concept of “external  mediation” associated with positive rivalry, emulation or exemplarity as found in René Girard’s Mimetic Theory, the 5th workshop on Violence and Religion aims to focus on positive mimesis from an educational perspective. For this purpose, we have associate Jorge Larrosa, member of the GRECS (Research Groupe on Exclusion and Social Control) to lead a common reflection on Education. In addition, we will have the presence of Magdalena Bosch to present and discuss the book she has edited, Desire and Human Flourishing.
